Atelier Clerici is an independent event and exhibition project at the centre of the Fuorisalone. Situated in Milan’s distinguished Palazzo Clerici, it will bring together designers, companies and institutions experimenting with new forms of living and making. The inaugural edition in 2014 featured renowned designers including Formafantasma, Minale Maeda, Bart Hess, and buro BELÉN, and attracted 2,000 visitors per day over the week of the Salone. In 2015, Atelier Clerici offered a diverse programme of exhibitions by Space Caviar, Maniera, BIO50, PROOFFLab Magazine, MacGuffin, and Z33 with Hella Jongerius and Louise Schouwenberg, alongside conversations with Vitra Design Museum, Domus Academy, and Dirty Furniture. In 2016, Atelier Clerici hosted installations by Thomas Eyck, Aldo Bakker, Opendesk, Casa Jasmina, Christien Meindertsma, Offprint Library, Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram, CoeLux, Benjamin Loyauté, Judith Seng, and more, and events by M+, Disegno, the Istanbul Design Biennial, San Rocco, and more.
In 2017, the historic Palazzo Clerici will once again be transformed into a point of intense activity, speculation and discussion around future conditions of living. A wide range of installations, micro-exhibitions and events organised by some of Europe’s most renowned designers and institutions will animate the palazzo each day for the duration of the Salone.
